Sophie

Allow time to listen to what your body needs, learning from our emotions and our experiences and how they impact us and those around us.

– Sophie

Sophie and Yoga

Sophie is a Hatha yoga teacher focusing on the idea of getting back into our bodies and reconnecting, be that due to trauma, pain or wear and tear. Her anatomy and training in holistic massage therapy has complemented her work over the past years as she develops her understanding of working with people and their daily movement.

She enjoys working with the person to explore the process of healing and making space for what we need in our lives, a (w)holistic approach to yoga, massage and our day to day life.

Sophie’s Specialist Areas

Hatha yoga

Starting yoga at an early age Sophie has accumulated over 20 years of experience in the field. Initially training in Rishikesh, north India she has continued to supplement her studies with 500 hour ttc in Hatha yoga, as well as specialising in anatomy for teachers and pregnancy yoga.

Holistic Massage Therapist

Meeting the person’s needs and working together are integral to her massage practice. She takes time to listen and understand what may be needed on any given day, working with the individual’s nervous system and deep muscle release.

Anatomy

Having just completed an advanced certificate in musculoskeletal anatomy she is now also teaching anatomy to yoga teacher trainees. Her focus on the anatomy and function of the body is neatly tied into each class, helping you get a better understanding of how we move on and off the mat.

Relaxation and Strength

Whether it’s massage or yoga each person leaves with a smile on their face and ready to start the process of resetting the nervous system, her work focussing on the fundamental connection between mind and body.
